Orange County Curfew Ordinance
On March 20, 2020, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings decided to issue a curfew for county residents starting in the evening. This means all pedestrian and vehicle-related movement–except when commuting to and from workplaces, during emergency situations, as well as state and local government services–are prohibited every day from 11 PM until 5 AM.
Anyone who is found on the streets and sidewalks during curfew hours and not engaged in any of the exceptions above will be subject to arrest (Section 901.15(1), Florida Statutes). This law allows state law enforcement officials to arrest individuals who violate a county or municipal ordinance.
